Disney+ viewing options on Windows have changed over time, so older instructions that promise offline movie downloads in a Windows 11 app may no longer match the current service. Offline downloads are primarily a feature of supported mobile devices, and availability also depends on your Disney+ plan and region.
Check whether your Windows device offers downloads
- Open Disney+ using the current supported app or web experience available on your PC.
- Sign in to your Disney+ account.
- Open the movie or episode you want.
- Look for a legitimate Download control.
If no download control is offered, there is no supported Windows setting that can force offline downloading for that title.
Use a supported mobile device for offline viewing
When your subscription and region permit downloads, the Disney+ app on a supported phone or tablet is the normal option for offline playback. Downloaded content stays inside the Disney+ app and is subject to the service’s viewing and expiration rules.
Avoid video-downloader workarounds
Third-party tools that claim to strip or capture protected Disney+ streams can create account, security, copyright, and terms-of-service problems. They are not equivalent to Disney’s built-in offline-download feature.
