VALORANT can be removed from Windows 11 through Installed apps, but Riot Vanguard may remain installed if another Riot game still uses it. Close Riot software before uninstalling to avoid files being in use.
How to Uninstall VALORANT in Windows 11
- Close VALORANT and the Riot Client.
- Open Settings.
- Select Apps > Installed apps.
- Find VALORANT.
- Select the three-dot menu next to it and choose Uninstall.
- Follow the uninstall prompts.
Removing Riot Vanguard
If you no longer use any game that requires Riot Vanguard, return to Settings > Apps > Installed apps, locate Riot Vanguard, and uninstall it separately. Restart Windows if prompted.
Do not remove Vanguard merely because VALORANT was uninstalled if another installed Riot title currently depends on it. Riot’s requirements can change, so check the current support information for the games you still use.
If VALORANT Will Not Uninstall
Restart the computer, make sure the Riot Client and game are not running, and try the normal Windows uninstall process again. If a Riot process remains open, close it normally before retrying. Avoid downloading third-party “forced uninstall” or registry-cleaning tools just to remove the game.
Does Uninstalling Delete Your Riot Account?
No. Removing the local game files does not delete your Riot account. Account information and server-side progress are separate from the installed Windows application.
