To uninstall Roblox on Windows 11, select Start > Settings > Apps > Installed apps, search for Roblox, select More options (…) next to it, and select Uninstall. If you also use Roblox Studio, uninstall it the same way, because it’s a separate app. Uninstalling doesn’t touch your Roblox account, your games or your Robux, which are all stored online.

Before you start
- Close Roblox. Leave any game and close the Roblox window. If Roblox seems stuck, press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager, select Roblox, and select End task.
- Your account is safe. Your username, friends, avatar items and Robux belong to your Roblox account, not to the PC. You can sign in again after reinstalling.
- Studio work saved to Roblox is safe. Roblox Support says uninstalling doesn’t delete places you made in Studio unless you saved them yourself in the Roblox app folder.
Uninstall Roblox from Settings
- Select Start > Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
- Type Roblox in the search box.
- Select More options (…) next to Roblox Player (it may be called just Roblox).
- Select Uninstall, and then select Uninstall again to confirm.

Uninstall Roblox Studio too
If Roblox Studio is in the list, repeat the steps for it. Removing Roblox Player doesn’t remove Studio, and removing Studio doesn’t remove the player.
If you see more than one Roblox entry
Roblox can be installed from roblox.com or from the Microsoft Store, and each shows up as its own app. Uninstall every Roblox entry you want to remove.
Remove leftover Roblox files
Uninstalling can leave a Roblox folder behind. Roblox Support suggests deleting it if you’re uninstalling to fix a problem, so the next install starts clean.
- Press Windows logo key + R, type %localappdata%, and press Enter. File Explorer opens your Local app data folder.
- Find the Roblox folder and select it.
- Select Delete in the toolbar.
Only delete the Roblox folder. Other folders there belong to other apps. To learn more about this location, see how to find the AppData folder in Windows 11.
If Roblox won’t uninstall
- Restart your PC and try again. A Roblox process running in the background can block the uninstall.
- Reinstall, then uninstall. Roblox Support suggests reinstalling over a broken copy to replace damaged files, then uninstalling again.
- Try the other method. If Installed apps fails, right-click Roblox in Start and select Uninstall, or the other way around.
- Work or school PC. Your organization may control which apps you can remove. Ask your IT administrator.
Reinstall Roblox
To install Roblox again, download it from roblox.com/download or get it from the Microsoft Store, and then sign in. Your account and purchases come back as soon as you sign in.

Frequently asked questions
Will uninstalling Roblox delete my account?
No. Uninstalling only removes the app from this PC. Deleting your Roblox account is a separate process on Roblox’s website.
Will I lose my Robux or items?
No. Robux and items are tied to your account and are there when you sign in again.
Can I uninstall only Roblox Studio?
Yes. Roblox Studio has its own entry in Installed apps, so you can remove it and keep the player.
Does this work on Windows 10?
Yes. On Windows 10, go to Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features, select Roblox, and select Uninstall.
Will I lose my game settings?
Some settings, such as graphics quality, are saved in the Roblox folder on your PC. Deleting that folder resets them. Settings tied to your account come back when you sign in again.
How do I stop a child from reinstalling Roblox?
If your child has a child account in Microsoft Family Safety, you can block Roblox from the Family Safety app or website. Roblox also has its own parental controls in the account settings.
