The need to record your screen is something that has been around ever since people found that external cameras didn’t do a great job of recording computer screen videos.
If you have a Windows computer then you may already know how to screen record with the built in tool in the Xbox app that is part of Windows 10, but there is a way to do it on your iPhone, too.
You can record a video of your iPhone screen by opening the Control Center, tapping the Screen Record video, then waiting three seconds for the recording to start. You can then tap the red bar at the top of the screen when you’re done and choose the Stop option.
Once you are aware of this ability to begin screen recording and stop recording on your device, you will be able to open Control Center and create a video of your iPhone or iPad screen whenever the opportunity presents itself.

Apple iPhone – Record Screen Tutorial (Guide with Pictures)
The steps in this article were performed on an iPhone 13 in the iOS 15.4.1 operating system.
Step 1: Open the Control Center on your iPhone by swiping down from the upper right corner of the screen.
Step 2: Locate the Screen Recording button, then tap it to begin the timer.
Note that there is a three second countdown that begins before it starts to record the screen.
Step 3: Record your video, then tap the red rectangle around the clock at the top left corner of the screen when you are finished.
Step 4: Tap Stop to end the recording.
You will see a message that the video saved to the Photos app.
When you go to Photos and open the video you will notice that it doesn’t start recording audio along with the video recording. If you need audio with your video then we are going to need to change another setting.
How to Screen Record with Sound on iPhone 13
Your iPhone has the ability to record external audio using the microphone on the device. However, the screen capture does not include this audio by default, so we are going ot need to activate this option to get sound.
You can use these steps to get a screen recording with audio on an iPhone 13.
Step 1: Open the Control Center.
Step 2: Long press (tap and hold) the Screen Recording button.
Step 3: Tap Microphone at the bottom of the screen.
You will start recording with sound the next time you touch the record button on the Control Center or you tap Start Recording on the menu discussed in this section.

How to Enable Screen Recording Tool on iPhone 13
The steps in this article assume that you already have a screen recording button in your Control Center. If not, then you won’t be able to create screen recordings until you make another change.
You are going to need to edit the Control Center, which is the menu that opens when you swipe down from the top right corner of your iPhone screen. We can do this with the following steps.
Step 1: Open Settings on your iPhone.
Step 2: Tap Control Center near the top of the menu.
Step 3: Scroll down and tap the green + icon to the left of Screen Recording.

If your iPhone does have a Home button, however, then you need to do it a different way.
