Select Start > Settings > Apps > Installed apps. Search for Copilot, select More options (…) next to it, then select Uninstall and Uninstall again. You can also right-click Copilot in the Start menu and select Uninstall.

Uninstall Copilot in Settings
- Select Start > Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
- Type Copilot in the search box.
- Select More options (…) next to Copilot, then select Uninstall.
- Select Uninstall again to confirm.
- Select Start and find Copilot (search for it if it isn’t pinned).
- Right-click Copilot and select Uninstall.
- Select Uninstall to confirm.
What changes after you uninstall it
- The Copilot app and its taskbar button are gone.
- Windows logo key + C and the Copilot key on some keyboards no longer open Copilot.
- Copilot in other Microsoft apps, such as Microsoft Edge or Microsoft 365, isn’t affected. Those have their own settings.
Get Copilot back
Open the Microsoft Store, search for Copilot, and select Get or Install.
