How Much iPhone Storage Do I Have Left on My iPhone 11?

August 21, 2020 By Matt Jacobs

While the amount of storage that you get with an iPhone has been slowly increasing as new models are introduced, many iPhone users eventually run out of it.

When you are out of storage you aren’t able to install new apps, download large files, or even record videos or take pictures.

If you are planning to do something that requires a lot of storage space, or if you are having problems because you don’t have enough space, then you may be wondering how you can check.

Our guide below is going to show you how to find out how much storage is left on your iPhone 11 so that you can make decisions with that information at hand.

How to View Remaining Storage on an iPhone 11

The steps in this article were performed on an iPhone 11 in iOS 13.6. Note that iPhone storage and iCloud storage are two different things. It’s possible for you to have a lot of available storage on your iPhone but be unable to create an iCloud backup because you don’t have enough storage with Apple’s cloud service.

Step 1: Open the Settings app.

open Settings

Step 2: Choose the General option.

open the General menu

Step 3: Select iPhone Storage.

select the iPhone Storage option

Step 4: View the remaining available storage using the bar at the top of the screen.

Note that there are a few options here that can help free up some space, uch as reviewing downloaded videos or reviewing large attachments.
