To share your screen with people in a video call, select Share in the meeting controls (in Microsoft Teams and most other meeting apps) and choose Screen or Window. To show your screen on a TV or projector in the same room, press Windows logo key + K and pick the display.

- Join the meeting in Microsoft Teams.
- Select Share in the meeting controls at the top.
- Choose Screen to share everything, or Window to share only one app.
- A colored border shows what others can see. To stop, move the pointer to the top of the screen and select Stop sharing.
Sharing one Window is safer than your whole screen, because others won’t see pop-ups or other apps.
In Teams you can also point at an app on the taskbar and select Share this window while you’re in a call.
Show your screen on a TV or projector
- Turn on the TV or projector. It needs to support wireless display (Miracast), or have a wireless display adapter plugged in.
- Press Windows logo key + K.
- Select the display from the list.

Use a cable instead
Plug an HDMI cable into the PC and the TV or monitor, then press Windows logo key + P and choose Duplicate to show the same thing on both. See how to duplicate your screen in Windows 11.
Frequently asked questions
Can people hear my computer’s sound when I share?
In Teams, turn on Include sound before you share your screen, or from the presenter toolbar while you share.
Why don’t I see my TV after pressing Windows + K?
Make sure the TV and PC are on the same Wi-Fi network and the TV’s screen mirroring or wireless display option is on. Not every TV supports it.
