How to Remove Slide Numbers from Google Slides

Slide numbers in a slideshow provide a way for you, as the presenter, to know where you are in the presentation. It also offers a reference point for your audience when they are asking questions, or later referencing something that they saw.

But if your current presentation has slide numbers and you don’t want them, then it can be something of an inconvenience. Fortunately the numbers on your slides in Google Slides are an editable feature, and they can be removed if they are unwanted.

How to Get Rid of Slide Numbers in Google Slides

The steps in this article were performed in the desktop version of the Google Chrome Web browser. These steps will also work on other desktop browsers like Firefox, Safari, and Edge.

Step 1: Navigate to your Google Drive at https://drive.google.com and open the slideshow containing the slide numbers that you wish to remove.

Step 2: Select the Insert tab at the top of the window.

Step 3: Choose the Slide numbers option at the bottom of the menu.

Step 4: Select the Off option, then click the Apply button.
